Saint Nick Hand Painted Tea Bag Christmas Ornament by John K. Harrell

SOLD

This Holiday season I have created a series of hand painted tea bag Christmas ornaments. Each ornament is an original acrylic painting, and comes packaged in its own clear topped white box for protection and shipping. Some ornaments will be holiday themed and others will be magical scenes of the everyday. I will be offering only 50 ornaments this season. Get them while they last!

A Journey to Urban 5 x 7 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

I'm back to painting my feel good subject the urban landscape. Nothing says San Francisco like the trolley. The car and its tracks lead the eye through the painting just as they do in real life. If you haven't ever ridden a trolley in this city you're missing out on a fantastic urban experience.

Pitcher of Red Acrylic 7 x 5 by John K. Harrell

SOLD

Nothing says summer like a beautiful window flower box. This one was particularly eye catching because of the contrast between the red geraniums and the white paint of the house and window curtains. The old fashioned curtains somehow match the traditional use of a longtime favorite annual.

Cherry 7 x 5 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

SOLD

Nature can be such an inspiration for so many things especially a painting. The blossoms this spring were so stunning and fragrant. I can see why the bees love them so much. I was trying to capture some of my bees on these flowers but they were to fast for me to catch them in action with my camera. So the painting is a portrait of just the cherry blossoms at their peak.

Little Blue Acrylic 5 x 7 by John K. Harrell

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

SOLD

It seems as though every time I walk my dog I see so much to paint, especially birds. It was lucky to get a pretty good shot of this specimen with my Iphone. I think he made a good subject for this painting.

A Real Stand Out Acrylic 7 x 5 by John K. Harrell

SOLD

We don't have little guys like this here in Denver, but close cousins without the extra splash of hair on the ears. Extra hair or not they all share the playful characteristic which I find always entertaining.

These little rascals are so much fun to watch. My garden is full of them and when I need to relax and decompress I can always count on these playful critters to bring me back to peaceful zen place.

Observance Acrylic 24 x 30 by John K. Harrell

I have created a series of paintings using the human figure in multiples to create some very strong compositions. I designed the series to have both a traditional approach as well as an abstracted counterpart.

Key to Drawing 5 x 7 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

I find inspiration from all kinds of things. As I was painting today I looked down on my painting table and noticed how the key ring and pencils were laying on it and I thought that would be fun to paint. This is unusual for me because a still life isn't usually something I am inspired to paint. So, here is the result. I painted a few of them because I was having so much fun. Who new? Enjoy!

Beached 5 x 7 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

 $125.00 + $10.00 S/H

Sometimes it doesn't take much to make a beautiful scenic painting.  The battered row boat was beached while the tide was out. There was just enough water around to create some nice reflections and a gem of a painting!

Quaint Italy 5 x 7 Acrylic painting by John K. Harrell

SOLD
This quaint home in the hillside of Tuscany was bathed in the late afternoon light. That time of day is my favorite for capturing the unique Tuscany feeling I experienced everywhere I had the pleasure of visiting in Italy.

Bear Cub Acrylic 7 x 5 by Colorado Daily Painter John K. Harrell

SOLD

Living in the wonderful state of Colorado I have had the privilege of experiencing so much of its wildlife. On one of my adventures to the Rockies I came upon a family of Black bears, a mother and her two cubs.  When I caught my breath and got my faculties together I snapped a few pictures and got out of there as fast a possible.  When I had returned to my car and looked at my pictures I was so excited to see that I had taken some great ones. The painting above is inspired from those pictures.

African Beauty 5 x 7 Acrylic Wildlife Paining by John K. Harrell

SOLD

I just enjoy painting animals of all kinds, wild or domesticated doesn't matter to me.  There is something freeing about tackling this subject matter because I have an inherent emotional attachment to these models. I was given the picture of this lovely pachyderm by a wonderful client who took it while on safari in Africa.
