I love the subject matter of this little gem. The only real contrast in the whole composition is the color of her hair. A very light value painting that captures the magnificent lighting and the easy going nature of the beach.

Nothing says summer like a beautiful window flower box. This one was particularly eye catching because of the contrast between the red geraniums and the white paint of the house and window curtains. The old fashioned curtains somehow match the traditional use of a longtime favorite annual.

The flower gardens in Provincetown were amazing. I was quite taken with the lush beautiful hydrangeas. The colors were so Walt Disney bright the challenge for me was painting them and making them look believable. Quite the fun experience!

I took a wonderful trip to Provincetown MA. this summer and have done a wonderful series of paintings. Most of the daily paintings are of the beach and the spectacular gardens. My larger pieces are of street scenes of the quaint town. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did painting them.
