Living in the wonderful state of Colorado I have had the privilege of experiencing so much of its wildlife. On one of my adventures to the Rockies I came upon a family of Black bears, a mother and her two cubs.  When I caught my breath and got my faculties together I snapped a few pictures and got out of there as fast a possible.  When I had returned to my car and looked at my pictures I was so excited to see that I had taken some great ones. The painting above is inspired from those pictures.

I am trying to get back into the swing of my Daily Paintings, Ive missed painting them greatly.  I have moved my gallery and held its grand opening last weekend.  Now, my intention  is focusing on  my own work and aspirations artistically. So, in doing so this first daily is painted from my trip to Italy and is actually in Venice. My favorite time of day is late afternoon and dusk any where I happen to be and this was no exception. This is another scene from Africa which I was allowed to use from my friend and Client Doug. The way the sun was hitting this field of grasses was spectacular. I just had to paint it. I really had fun using the pallet knife in the grass to give it a more abstract quality. Thanks again Doug!
