Santa's Little Helper 7 x 5 Acrylic by John K Harrell

$200.00 + $10.00 S/H

This little guy just evokes Christmas Spirit. I was imagining just how he could be of help to Santa on his big day being so small, but then all he had to do was show up and make him smile and his job was done!

"Shaken not Stirred" 18 x 24 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

I captured this image from a recent trip to Provence Town MA. This very quaint town on the cape has quite a developed and highly regarded art community. I was enjoying gallery hopping and stopped to partake in the local fare. This restaurant had the most iconic bar which I imagined only existed on a movie set. The friendly well dressed bartender was very adept at his craft and made the perfectly delicious compliment to a day of beautiful art.

San Francisco Magic Acrylic by John K. Harrell

When ever I get the opportunity to travel to different cities I take full advantage of my camera and capture fantastic scenes to paint. This is no exception. Walking around the streets of San Francisco in the rain was immensely entertaining and very inspiring. Not only do the reflections tell a story but the perspective of this piece takes you on an adventure as well.

Mens Wear 7 x 5 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

$200.00 + $10.00 S/H

So many things catch my interest these days that I will never have time to paint them all, but what I like about doing these small paintings and having my blog to share them on is that I can satisfy the thrill of quenching my thirst for that subject quickly and move on to something else. I find that the more technology evolves my artistic world expands right along with it. From the new freedom of camera phones to capture images, and it's capability to process and engage them on social platforms is quite profound.
To be honest keeping up with the technology is sometimes daunting but at the same time exciting. I see it's value in so many personal and professional applications that I can't see a world with out it anymore. Do I fight the current of advancement or do I choose to embrace the limitless journey ahead? I answer the call to Blogger, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and anything else that comes along that I'm up for a wild ride of discovery!

My New Adventure 6 x 6 Acrylic by John K. Harrell

$200.00 + $10.00 S/H

I was traveling on the light-rail train going into downtown Denver last week focusing on the scenery out of the window. I'm typically entertained by what I see, but because it was cloudy I started to look around at the people on the train. This guy was just listing to his music and looking out the window and I was captivated at his pose. The way the pale flat light came through the square window framing him called my iPhone into action. Once again something so simple makes such a fantastic subject for a painting!
