Window to Poppies Acrylic 6 x 6

I just had to paint this window. It reminded me of when I lived in New Mexico as a kid and most of the homes were stucco with turquoise window panes. That coupled with one of my favorite flowers, I couldn't wait to recreate it on the canvas. Enjoy!

Capturing the innocence of a child playing on the beach can be a challenge for me. I tried to convey how her only thoughts were focused on the water and the way it played with her ball. Hopefully, I hope I have achieved my goal.

Jade Mist Acrylic 6 x 6

SOLD

In the crisp air of the Rockies summer rain is always cold. Even when it's a hot summer day in Denver the rain will be cold when it hits your skin. When I painted this scene I had to use a lot of grays to create a summer feel and be true to the coolness of the mist.

I am fascinated by reflections and what causes them. Car headlights throw the best beams of light onto the surface of the street and their intense reflections can be the subject all their own for a sweet little painting.
