The quaint street markets in Italy were abundant and each had its own unique character. The flower market here was quite busy and the owner seemed to know everybody by name and what they were looking for. Nobody had to really make a decision the shop owner made the selection with out consultation. It was extraordinary to watch.

This painting was created from a friends pictures from France. I don't know anything about the school except that it was an all girls school. I thought it was an interesting subject mater and a bit of a challenge to paint this small. Here is the result and I hope it responds to you.

Allie Acrylic 12 x 9 Pet Portrait

Terry and Shawna Zwart commissioned me to paint their Pups. This is the second of two. Both dogs are up there in age but needless to say are the light of their lives. Allie was so attached to Zues that she was easy to photograph as long as Zues was around. I used a simplified abstract background to accentuate her wonderful expression and features.

I have said this before and say it again here. There wasn't anything I didn't like about my experiences in Italy. On this evening my friends and family were enjoying cocktails while I was continuing to document about everything I could in Venice. I loved the quite sophistication of this simple street scene.
