This is a very moody and monochromatic piece. The urban landscape offers a wonderful opportunity to use my artistic prerogatives to create atmospheric paintings.
This pasture was full of brilliant sunflowers so much so that I had to paint it in blocks of color. It's a looser interpretation than I usually paint but I feel it packs a punch.
When I was in Paris I was up early and went for a walk and a cup of coffee. There was a delivery truck making its morning stop. The back light on the truck was very interesting.
