The 16th Street Mall in Denver is one of my favorite subjects to paint. I have painted it in every season, morning, noon and night.

Perfect Garden Acrylic 10 x 8

Every artist has found certain things or places that they are attracted to over and over again, for me this is one of them. I go to this garden ever year and paint. I call it the orgasmic garden.

Strength Acrylic 14 x 11

I have been invited to participate in this show benefiting Project education Sudan.
The focus of this organization is on building community, self-sufficiency and hope for the people of Sudan by supporting indigenous Sudanese organizations that model our values and make primary and secondary education available for all. The Project creates hope in Sudan by reuniting families separated by years of civil war.
I selected an image from pictures provided by the organization that touched my heart. The image is of a Sudan mother. I was struck by the her beauty and strength in her gaze. I hope my painting conveys her essence.

Make Way Acrylic 7 x 5

This is another composition from a trip to Portland, Oregon. I had a wonderful time in the city and it inspired many of my recent paintings. Portland is the only other city that I think I could live in other than Denver. The city and its red trees were spectacular to say the least!

Chilly Acrylic 7 x 5

This is today's painting. It is a local scene from Downtown Littleton Colorado. I am very intrigued by reflections in any form so I tend to paint subjects that contain them. I like urban subject matter and feel this composition is a winner!

Home Safely Acrylic 5 x 7

I did this painting from a photograph I took on the way home from the studio. It was a blustery snowy day and I was very glad to get home safely.

Timeless Acrylic 7 x 5

Sometimes even though I am painting a current subject matter such a this snowy urban scene something about it just seems timeless. The magic of another time sometimes offers its essence endlessly.
